Otorongo

Otorongo is the Quechua word for Jaguar, Curinahuel is the same in Mapudungu. Otorongo is a music selector originally from Chile, currently based in Meanjin (Brisbane). His sets are meticulously curated to take audiences on a journey. Some times it might be a pleasant walk through mountain rainforest, tropical floodplains, or wherever your imagination feels the most comfortable. Other times a deep dive into the realm of the spirits, where light and darkness get confounded. He is co-founder and curator of ISU TAKI (@isu-taki), a collective that organises parties to promote emerging beats from Abya Yala (aka Latin America) and beyond.
