Granha

Oscar Graña is GRANHA, a producer from Ferrol now based in Leipzig. He deconstructs the traditional rhythms of his homeland — muñeira, xota and other Galician folk forms — and reshapes them through the sharp edge of electronic music: techno, global bass and contemporary urban sounds. Polyrhythm lies at the heart of his sound. He fuses the ternary metres of Galician tradition with the classic four-on-the-floor pulse of club music, creating fractured rhythms that move between the dancefloor and his ancestral roots. His 2024 release Santa Compaña (Samain Music) transforms Galician mythology into club music.
